Alan Naylor Returns to Perform Broadway Hits with the RSO

Soprano Laura Owens, Rome Youth Symphony, and 2021 Young Artist Competition Winners also set to perform

Rome, Georgia: The Rome Symphony Orchestra will present its next concert, Give My Regards to Broadway: Favorites from The Great White Way on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at the Rome City Auditorium. Featuring tenor Alan Naylor, who is returning to Rome after a smash concert with the symphony last June, Broadway lovers will not want to miss a full evening dedicated to the magic of musical theatre. “I am so excited to welcome Alan Naylor back to Rome, this time for a performance of Broadway favorites with the full Rome Symphony Orchestra,” said Rome Symphony Maestro, Jeffrey Dokken, “Alan is a truly special performer, whose voice, acting, and stage presence are unparalleled. This concert will feature many beloved works, as well as some lesser-known gems. I’m also thrilled to announce that Alan will be joined as a special guest by 2012 Darlington graduate and native Roman, soprano Laura Owens.”

A veteran Broadway performer, Naylor will present theatre favorites in the way they were meant to be performed – with a full orchestra and under the bright lights of a beautiful theater. Give My Regards to Broadway will feature songs from the nearly 100-year history of the American theatre songbook. A fitting complement to the Rome Symphony Orchestra’s historic 100th anniversary season, the symphony encourages locals to bring the whole family for an evening of musical theater magic.

The RSO and Mr. Naylor will also be joined by members of the Rome Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as the winners of the 2021 Young Artist competition at this concert. "Education is extremely important to the Rome Symphony and featuring the winners of our annual Young Artist competition is always a special treat. Likewise, getting to feature our fantastic youth symphony, playing alongside the RSO members, is an opportunity we are always delighted to share with our audience,” said Maestro Dokken, “We are so proud that this Broadway concert will highlight our commitment to education, as well as our world-class professional symphony and renowned guest artists.”
