A native of Naples, Italy, Dr. Salvati is a trained pianist and composer and winner of several international awards including the 2013 American Prize in composition. Her works have been performed throughout the United States, Israel, Australia, and Italy. After receiving music degrees in Italian conservatories, she received her DMC at the University of Miami where she now lives and is very active in music education and collaborates with the National Young Arts Foundation for the advancement of music appreciation throughout the United States.
Diane Hargreaves returns to her 17th season with RSO as its Principal Clarinetist, a position she also holds for the Georgia Philharmonic and Gwinnett Symphonies. An avid chamber musician, she also performs with a woodwind quintet, clarinet quartet, and a trio with viola and piano. She loves working with students and offers private lessons at her studios in Alpharetta and John’s Creek.
Mr. Thrower is a versatile guitarist who performs an eclectic mix of genres and styles. He received his MA at UGA where he studied classical guitar with John Sutherland, a protégé of Andres Segovia. Classical Performance solos include the UGA Symphony Orchestra, Rome Symphony Orchestra, and a wide variety of chamber and solo venues. The author of two publications on guitar, Mr. Thrower is an Artist in Residence at Kennesaw State University, Artist Affiliate at Berry college, and founder of the Rome Guitar Institute.
Three Rivers Singers
Under the musical direction of Len Willingham, the Three Rivers Singers was founded in spring of 2000. The community chorus was organized to offer the Rome area with opportunities for local singers to participate in choral music and to add to the cultural richness of the community. This non-profit organization relies solely on tax deductible donations to meet expenses.
