Susan Davis

Susan Davis received a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Degree in flute performance from San Francisco State University, and an Education Specialist Degree from Berry College.  A native of California, Susan has performed extensively as a soloist and with orchestras and chamber ensembles in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tucson, Arizona and Northern Mexico.  Susan has also performed in flute master classes for Julius baker and Jeannie Baxtresser of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Peter Lloyd of the London Symphony, and jazz flutist, Hubert Laws and at the National Flute Association Convention.  As a resident of Rome, Georgia for the past twenty years, Susan has performed with the Rome Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Players of the South, Shorter University Musical Theater, Darlington Upper School Musical Theater, Desoto Musical Theater, Clock Tower Jazz Ensemble, Dogwood Ensemble, and Expedition Winds.  Susan is a Music Specialist for Rome City Schools and an adjunct flute instructor at Georgia Highlands College.  Susan and husband, John (co-principal flutist) have tow wonderful and talented teenage boys, Evan and Andrew, three dogs and one cat.
